Looking at installing a speeduino on my 2000 Dodge Dakota with a 5.2L Magnum engine.

From what I've read/gathered so far... the engine uses "Chrysler NGC - a dedicated decoder for vehicles with 4, 6 and 8 cylinder NGC pattern. 8-cyl: 36-2+2 crank wheel and 15 tooth cam in 8 groups. The crank decoder uses the polarity of the missing teeth to determine position. 8-cyl cam decoder uses the amount of teeth in the two previous groups of teeth to determine position.

I tried to compare boards and it seems my best option is the UA4C board. I'm just looking at getting the engine running smoothly for a daily used street car (Actuall project is a 55 Dodge Pilothouse body swapped on top of a 2000 Dakota chassis & drivetrain)... no need for sequential firing, etc since I read it doesn't really add any considerable benefits to performance.

Just wanted to hear suggestions if the AU4C board is the right way to go or if there are any other options available. :?:

Sadly I had some electrical issues and burned my current ECU so no I need an alternative :roll:

Jeep 2000 is not for the 5.2 v8. Trigger uses a dual wheel.
Crank is 8 teeth with none missing. I haven't found a reference for setting the Cam trigger (secondary) yet .
